|Manchester’s Imperial War Museum North provided a superb venue for the North West Aerospace Alliance’s annual New Talent Awards. The NWAA is firmly behind initiatives that attract young people to enter apprenticeships. Aerospace is an expanding sector in the UK and attracting talent is vital.
There were several categories in the awards and entrants from organisations right across the North West and the Isle of Man. Standards were high, but we’re not surprised – our young people are smart, enthusiastic and understand the importance of continuing education and hard graft.
When given the opportunity to sponsor the award for the North West’s Best Aerospace & Defence Apprentice, we took it. The worthy winner, and recipient of the £1,000 prize money, was BAE Systems apprentice engineer Daniel Hogg. Rising to the top of a very talented pool is an impressive achievement that suggests a promising future.
